
It is a beautiful sunny Sunday in Wisconsin. Very misleading in that it is a balmy 30 degrees! Yikes!
For our family, Sunday is focused on attending church and making it a day of rest, relaxation and fun. It sounds so simple but can be so hard to do sometimes. Life is hectic and busy. Kids have activities and we live in a world that is never quiet thanks to technology.
But we need those days of rest and relaxation. Our bodies are under constant stress, not just dealing with work and family concerns that may arise, but also all of the environmental and chemical toxins our bodies are exposed to on a daily basis. It takes a lot of work on behalf of our liver and kidneys to start the detox process so that our bodies can function optimally.
Our food, water and air are not what they used to be. For that reason, some may be more vulnerable to becoming ill or having chronic health conditions. Auto-immune diseases, Cancer, Asthma, Diabetes, Autism, and Alzheimer’s are all on the rise. Once “adult” diseases are now showing up in children.
So what can we do?
We can change the way we eat, the quality of water we drink and provide our bodies with the support it needs through diet and supplementation to function at its optimal best. But most of all, we need to have some fun and joy in our lives! What ever that means to you, make sure you take the time to make that a priority.
